Tall building
A summer project exploring building 'tall' in a city context. We based the project in the city centre of Glasgow, named The Heart of Glasgow.
The lower metropolitan area houses a lot of forgotten sites and buildings, with an alarming amount of homeless and impoverished people. We wished to create a building that would provide both shelter and work opportunities for them, while creating public and exhibition spaces, bringing back to this area.

Inter.Act
2020
A collaborative project making a concert hall in Balloch for a children's charity Sistema Scotland between an architecture student from Glasgow School of Art (myself), an engineering student from the University of Glasgow and a QS from Glasgow Caledonian University. We wished to create a peaceful and creative space for the children, for them to be able to thrive and express themselves fully.
Our team was awarded the Best Overall Project, and each team member awarded best in their field by our judging panel.

A further developed structural submission is also included in these pages.

A musical retreat in Balloch
The musical retreat in Balloch strives to create a beautiful and calming environment to nurture the community and orchestral talents of children from the Big Noise organisation. The specific needs of the children are fulfilled through creating wondrous spaces on a concrete island, creating their own special world of musical exploration, further emphasised by musical wonders- unusual spaces with different acoustic qualities. The retreat becomes sustainable through its long term use as it functions as an off-grid Passivhaus project.
